There’s something so incredibly special, being able to hear the babies heartbeat with the use of a special stethoscope! It is an emotional experience. That little heart is pumping blood throughout the baby’s little body bringing nourishment to all the organs, muscles and bones.
This month, your baby’s head is still bigger but the body length will grow rapidly. Your baby will grow to be about 7 inches long and he or she will weigh around 4 ounces.
As we saw last month, your baby has fingers with unique fingerprints, toes, small tooth buds and is equipped with everything necessary to create their own children when they are adults! Isn’t that is a mind blowing thought?
Little eyebrows and lashes are now added to their small developed faces and they can suck their thumbs!
At this stage, their digestion is fair and their muscles are very active. Their skin is covered with a fine, down-like hair. Most of their bones are in place and they are distinct for their purpose.
This is a marvelous journey! It is exciting to see what will come next!
